” I explore the construction of perceived realities, and identity through codified language.”

Within many of my works, I use binary (0’s and 1’s) to represent the underlying, unseen code(s), that heavily affect our perceptions.  Essentially, the  “codified motif” references a human presence within the architecture of what we believe to be reality.

My goal is to engage an observer’s sense of  direction, through movements (or a lack of movement) between the encoded and the decoded.  While questioning the observers terms of taste, these movements are intended to beckon the formation of new or alternative literacies.
